Bellator 55: Dantas and Vila Narrowly Advance, Wiuff Upsets M’Pumbu
By FCF Staff
Eduardo Dantas and Alexis Vila entrenched a future bout against each other at Bellator 55 tonight in Yuma, Arizona, as each man narrowly won their semi-final bouts of the promotion’s ongoing bantamweight tourney.
Dantas worked his way to a split decision win over Ed West in one of the competition’s semis, while Vila followed up on his memorable knockout victory over Joe Warren last month, by earning a split decision nod over Marcos Galvao.
In another of Bellator 55’s feature attractions, well traveled veteran Travis Wiuff battled to a unanimous decision over the promotion’s light-heavyweight champ Christian M’Pumbu in a non-title affair.
