Bellator Fighting Championships has confirmed today that the promotion will be returning to the Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada, for the promotion’s upcoming November 12^th card. The event will feature the finals of Bellator’s ongoing Season Five welterweight tourney, as well as women’s champion Zoila Gurgel versus Carina Damm in a non-title bout.

Gurgel (11-1) will be competing for Bellator for the first time since March, when the 115lb.champ worked her way to a unanimous decision win over Karina Hallinan. Gurgel’s only professional loss came against Miesha Tate, who submitted her at a Strikeforce Challengers event last March.

“I haven’t fought for a few months, but in my down time I feel like I’ve finally become a real mixed martial arts fighter,” Gurgel said in a press release from the promotion. “It was never a secret that my ground game was lacking and I liked to stay on my feet. That just isn’t the case anymore, and my training has made me a much more complete fighter.”

Damm (17-6) is coming off back-to-back wins over Antonia Deize and Sheila Santos, after losing three straight to Hitomi Akano, Tara LaRosa and Cat Zingano.

“I train with Luis every day, and he has brought my Muay Thai skills to a whole new level,” Damm said about her husband Luis Santos. “It’s been a dream to train with Luis, and he has made me a better fighter.”

The welterweight semifinals are scheduled to take place on October 8^th, and will feature Ben Saunders taking on the aforementioned Luis Santos and Chris Lozano versus Douglas Lima.

Bellator has also announced that Canadian light-heavyweight Roger Hollett will take on Ohio fighter John Hawk at Bellator 57.
