Bellator 75: Thiago Santos Defeats Eric Prindle By Disqualification, Brett Rogers Falls to Alexander Volkov

Thiago Santos

By FCF Staff

The latest attempt from Bellator to promote a bout between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos once again ended via unfortunate circumstances, as Santos advanced to the semifinals of its latest heavyweight tourney via disqualification.

Prinde was disqualified as the opening round neared it’s end, as a result of an illegal axe kick to the groin of Santos, which reportedly left the heavyweight unable to continue. Last November, the first encounter between the two was declared a no contest, after Prindle was unable to go on following an illegal groin strike.

In other quarterfinal action, Brett Rogers fell by unanimous decision to Russian prospect Alexander Volkov, who worked his way to a unanimous decision win over the Strikeforce vet.

Here are the results from tonight’s Bellator 75 card in Hammond, Indiana.
