Bellator 93: Dave Jansen Works Way to Lightweight Tourney Win, Ryan Martinez Puts Away Travis Wiuff

Dave Jansen countered the feared leglock game of Marcin Held with a steady stream of strikes from the top position at Bellator 93 tonight, to score a unanimous decision win over the rising lightweight. With the victory, the resilient Jansen picked up a check for $100,000 and entrenched a title fight with Bellator champion Michael Chandler.
In other main card action, Ryan Martinez quickly put away veteran heavyweight Travis Wiuff with a flurry of punches, while a welterweight bout between UFC vet Marcus Davis and Waachim Spiritwolf was declared a no-contest. Spiritwolf was unable to continue after taking an accidental knee to the groin early in the fight.
