During Bellator’s Season 10 premiere tonight in Uncasville, Connecticut, the promotion announced that the highly anticipated, rubber match between Michael Chandler and Eddie Alvarez will take place on May 17th.

As expected, the bout will be broadcast via pay-per-view, however, the city and venue was not disclosed. In the post-fight presser, CEO Bjorn Rebney said the promotion will announce the venue in several days time.

Alvarez (25-3) and Chandler (12-1) fought for the first time in November, 2011, and the latter took the Bellator lightweight belt by tapping out Alvarez in the fourth round.

In the rematch, at Bellator 106 in November, Alvarez avenged the loss via split decision.
