Douglas Lima knocking out Michael Page

Bellator has announced the promotion is returning to London, England for a card this fall, and it will feature a rematch between Douglas Lima and Michael Page.

The event will take place on October 1st at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Lima and Page battled back in 2019, and the latter was knocked out in the second round.

After the victory, Lima (32-9) went on to reclaim Bellator’s welterweight title, by defeating Rory MacDonald. But since then, Lima has dropped back-to-back bouts to middleweight champ Gegard Mousasi and now reigning, welterweight champ, Yaroslav Amosov.

“MVP has put together an impressive string of wins together, but when he gets back in the cage with me, the end result is going to be the same as the first time,” Lima was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion.. “Right now, I’m on a mission to put the Bellator belt back around my waist. Anyone standing in my way will be dismantled.”

Page (19-1), on the other hand, has won five straight since he was defeated by Lima. In his last fight, this past May, he recorded a TKO win over Derek Anderson.

“The comeback is always bigger than the setback. It was always gonna happen, it’s written in the stars,” said Page. “The one and only MVP is back, and I will have my redemption in front of my hometown the only way I know how – in venomous style.”
