Bellator Announces Signing of Ricardo Tirloni

By FCF Staff

Bellator Fighting Championships has announced the signing of another rising fighter, as today the promotion confirmed that it has added 13-1 lightweight Ricardo Tirloni to its roster.  No information regarding when the Brazilian fighter will make his Bellator debut was included.

“Our objective is to sign the most talented fighters possible from every corner of the globe and Ricardo Tirloni certainly fits that bill,” Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney was quoted saying in the press release. “Our lightweight division is turning into one of our deepest weight classes, and Ricardo should have great impact on that already stacked division.”

Tirloni arrives in Bellator having won ten straight fights, a run which includes victories over UFC vet Brian Cobb and most recently a knockout victory over Mauro Chalet on July 9th.  Tirloni’s only professional loss to date came against former WEC champion Ben Henderson, who submitted him in the second round at a Maximum Fighting Championship event in July 2008.

The 28 year-old, BJJ black belt trains alongside Nazareno Malegarie and UFC veteran ThiagoTavares at Team Ataque Duplo.
