“Rampage” Jackson’s Bellator return was a successful one tonight, as the former UFC champ worked his way to a win over Satoshi Ishii at Dynamite 2.

Ishii was able to hit several nice trips early on, but as the fight continued, Jackson was able to defend the decorated Judoka’s takedown attempts. Jackson was the busier of the two fighters, in terms of strikes, and in round three, he took Ishii to the mat. After the bout, the popular fighter was handed the split decision victory.

In the co-main event, Michael Chandler flattened Patricky “Pitbull” Freire with a vicious right hand in the opening round, and reclaimed the promotion’s vacant lightweight belt. Chandler, who lost the lightweight title to Eddie Alvarez in 2013, decisioned Freire in their first encounter back in 2011.

Dynamite 2 also featured the Bellator debut of UFC vet Matt Mitrione. The heavyweight was dropped by Carl Seumanutafa moments in, but Mitrione managed to survive and proceeded to KO Seumanutafa with a booming punch from the top.

Here are the main card results for the event, which took place in St. Louis, Missouri.
