Bellator has added another UFC veteran to its roster, as the promotion has announced it has signed light-heavyweight Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou to a contract.
The 30 year-old fighter, who scored knockout wins over Ricardo Arona and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in PRIDE, will make his promotional debut on June 6th.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Bellator family,” Sokoudjou said in a press release from the promotion. “They have some of the best fighters in the world fighting in their cage and it’s something I want to be a part of. Bellator always has exciting fights for the fans, and it’s something I’m going to continue for Bellator in every one of my fights.”
Who Sokoudjou (14-12) will face in first Bellator bout has yet to be announced. The Team Quest fighter will be competing for the first time since December, when he was knocked out by Konstantin Erokhin while fighting in Russia.
In addition, Bellator has announced that it has signed Tom DeBlass and Steve Garcie to new contracts.
The promotion has also inked Dmitry Sosnovskiy to a deal, who is coming off a stoppage win over Aleksander Emelianenko.
