Bellator’s Kimbo Slice Reaches Deal With Texas Commission After Testing Positive For Steroids
By FCF Staff
Kimbo Slice has reportedly reached an agreement with the Texas Commission, following a positive test for steroids and an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio.
The heavyweight was flagged for the banned substance nandrolone, an anabolic steroid, and an elevated T/E ratio following his stoppage win over DADA 5000 in February. According to a report from MMA Junkie.com, Texas officials have fined the Bellator fighter $2,500 and revoked his license to compete in the state. The bout’s result has been overturned to a no-contest.
The 42 year-old is booked to fight James Thompson at Bellator 158 on July 16th. Since the bout is taking place outside of North America, Slice will likely be cleared to fight, but he could face issues from North American commissions moving forward (as a result of the test).
