Recently 50 Cent caused a stir by offering Khabib Nurmagomedov $2 million dollars to sign with Bellator, but the promotion’s president, Scott Coker, has distanced himself from the rapper’s actions.

The star recently made the offer to the UFC’s lightweight champ, while commenting on the post-fight brawl that took place at UFC 229. 50 Cent is a business partner of Bellator’s, as recently the parties announced a licensing deal for the rapper’s apparel line and champagne.

But, following Bellator 208 on Saturday, Coker had this to say about 50 Cent’s social media posts (quote via MMA Junkie):

“He called me yesterday and he said, ‘Hey, what’s going on with this?’ Coker said. “I said, ‘Well, the commission’s involved. There’s a lot of steps to that whole situation.’

“I’d like to just – I told him, ‘Hey, let’s just stay clear of it because that has nothing to do with Bellator, it has to do with the commission and the fighter and the league.’ So that’s their business.”

“I think what he means by that is like him as a manager,” Coker added. “50 Cent, when he’s talking to an athlete, that has nothing to do with Bellator. I can’t tell 50 Cent what to say or not say, believe me.”

UFC President Dana White has said Nurmagomedov will not be stripped of the lightweight title, as a result of the post-fight incident, but the Russian star is facing fines and suspensions from the Nevada Commission.
