Bellator’s Scott Coker Interested in Fedor Emelianenko – Brock Lesnar Fight
By FCF Staff
Following news that Brock Lesnar is a free agent, Bellator President Scott Coker has reportedly acknowledged he would be interested in seeing the pro-wrestling star fight Fedor Emelianenko.
Recently PW Insider reported that Lesnar’s deal with professional wrestling’s WWE has concluded, and other outlets are reporting his free-agent status as well. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reached out to Coker following this news, and asked Coker if he’d be interested in seeing Lesnar fight Fedor, who is under contract with Bellator.
Asked Bellator President Scott Coker if he has interest in Brock Lesnar, and he replied:
“Yes, if he’s truly available. Fedor vs. Brock is interesting. It’s the fight that never happened!”

Over the years, there was extensive talk and speculation about a fight between Lesnar and Emelianenko. The latter, however, never ended up signing with the UFC.
Lesnar’s last MMA bout took place in 2016, when he defeated by Mark Hunt by decision. The fight was overturned to a no-contest, however, after Lesnar tested positive for banned substances.
In 2019, the UFC hoped to book a fight between Lesnar and then, heavyweight champ, Daniel Cormier. The bout never materialized and there was speculation it was on account of the UFC’s new pay-per-view model with ESPN. UFC President Dana White denied that was the case.
