Following his unanimous decision loss Bryan Baker in Bellator’s welterweight tourney semifinals on May 4th, UFC vet Ben Saunders will take on Brian Warren at the promotion’s upcoming July 20th event.

The Bellator 72 bout, which will be contested at a catch-weight of 178 pounds, was first reported by MMA Junkie. Full Contact Fighter has also confirmed the fight with Bellator officials.

Prior to facing Baker, Saunders (13-5-2) scored a unanimous decision win over Raul Amaya at Bellator 63 in March.

The American Top Team fighter advanced to the finals of Bellator’s welterweight tournament last November, but was stopped by Douglas Lima.

Warren (18-15-1) is currently riding a five fight win streak and has not been defeated since July, 2010, when he was submitted by Jeremy Horn while competing for the United Fighting Organization.

Bellator 72 will be hosted by the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida, and will feature the welterweight tourney finals between Karl Amoussou and Bryan Baker.
