Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva is reporting that he’s on the mend, after undergoing surgery recently to repair his left shoulder.

The 34 year-old heavyweight reported the news via his Instagram account by posting:

After hours of surgery in my shoulder I’m very well and I will be back 100% thank you everyone…

Silva is currently serving a nine month suspension from the UFC, after he reportedly tested positive for elevate testosterone, following his UFC FN 33 bout with Mark Hunt.

The thrilling December 7th fight, which was scored a majority draw, was awarded “Fight of the Night” honors. Silva, however, was stripped of the $50,000 bonus as a result of failing his post-fight drug test.

Silva, who had an exemption for testosterone-replacement-therapy heading into the bout, blamed his physicians for the result.

The American Top Team fighter is 2-2-1 in his last five bouts, however, both of Silva’s losses during that stretch came against champion Cain Velasquez.
