Alexis Davis has been tapped to fight Ronda Rousey next, and the bantamweight believes she has the skill set to negate the UFC champ’s vaunted submission game.

Davis, who has won five straight bouts and is coming off a split decision win over Jessica Eye, holds black belts in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Japanese Jujutsu.

On the latest episode of “UFC Tonight”, here is some of what the 29 year-old had to say about her July 5th bout with Rousey.

“Ronda is a great fighter. I’ve been constantly working on my wrestling. They’ve improved me so much since I’ve been here. I’ve been training jiu jitsu for a long time. I’ve been training for years with black belt world champions. If I can hold my own with them, I’m sure I can hold my own against Ronda.”

The Rousey-Davis bout will be part of UFC 175, which will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
