Less than a month removed from Bob Sapp’s loss to James Thompson, which incurred due to a reported leg injury the Pride vet received in the bout, Polish promotion KSW has announced that the massive fighter will take on Mariusz Pudzianowski May 12th.

The 38 year-old Sapp heads into KSW 19 having lost five straight fights and is 2-8 in his last 10 bouts. All eight defeats have taken place in the first round.

Despite his recent run of losses, Sapp is also scheduled to fight Soa Palelei one week later at a May 18th Cage Fighting Championship event in Australia.

Pudzianowksi is also coming off a fight with Thompson. In November their bout was ruled a no contest due to a judging error in the fight. The bout had originally been declared in favor of Pudzianowski.

Last May, Thompson tapped out the former Strongest Man competitor with a second round, arm-triangle choke.

The 35 year-old-fighter’s last win took place in September, 2010, when he stopped Eric “Butterbean” Esch at KSW 14.

KSW 19 will be hosted by the Atlas Stadium in Lodz, Poland.
