Bobby Lashley Withdraws From Titan FC 19, Expected to Return Aug. 26th

By FCF Staff

Titan Fighting Championship has lost one of its main event competitors for its upcoming July 29th event in Kansas City, as the promotion has announced that heavyweight Bobby Lashley (pictured) has withdrawn from the card due to personal reasons. The former professional wrestler and Strikeforce vet was scheduled to fight Eddie Sanchez.

“Unfortunately, with the things going on in Bobby’s life right now it was not the right time to have him fight,” said Titan CEO Joe Kelly. “Bobby will be the main event on the next Titan FC card on August 26, which will take place in Kansas City and feature other top fighters such as L.C. Davis, Brian Davidson, Eric Marriott and many more.”

Moving into a main event slot for Titan FC 19 is a 160lb. catch-weight bout between Clay French (18-6) and James Krause (12-3). In the card’s co-main-event, Tonya Evinger (8-5) will take on Olympic wrestling silver medalist Sara McMann (2-0).

Lashley (6-1) hasn’t fought since March, when he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over John Ott at Titan FC 17. The win came after the 35 year-old-heavyweight was stopped by Chad Griggs at Strikeforce’s “Houston” event last August.

Here is the line-up to date for the July 29th, Titan FC 19 event, which will be broadcast live on HDNet.

James Krause (12-3) vs. Clay French (17-6) at 160 lbs.

Sara McMann (2-0) vs. Tonya Evinger (7-4) at 140 lbs.

Rob “The Rosedale Reaper” Kimmons (22-7) vs. Brendan Seguin (22-16-1) at 185 lbs.

Joe “The Nose” Wilk (12-5) vs. Willian DeSouza (3-3) at 145 lbs.

Nick Nolte (3-3) vs. Marcio Navarro (8-5) at 170 lbs.

Daniel Gallemore (0-0) vs. Alex Huddelston (0-0) at 265 lbs.

Anthony “Sharkbait” Gutierrez (2-0) vs. Cody Land (4-0) at 135 lbs.
