Matt Mitrione and Brendan Schaub will fight at UFC 165 on September 21st, after their first scheduled meeting at UFC on FOX 8, was postponed due to Mitrione being injured. The promotion has confirmed the new date for the heavyweight tilt, which will go down at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

Schaub (9-3) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Lavar Johnson at UFC 157 in February, after dropping back-to-back bouts to Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera and Ben Rothwell.

Mitrione (6-2), meanwhile, KO’d Philip DeFries in his last outing at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in April, after dropping bouts to Cheick Kongo and Roy Nelson.

Both Mitrione and Schaub competed on the 10th season of TUF, and more recently, the two have hurled insults at one another via Twitter.

UFC 165 will be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between champion Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson.
