Cage Warriors 112: Four More Fights Announced For Manchester Card

By Press Release

Cage Warriors’ debut event in Manchester continues to stack up, with a number of high-level bouts now added to the March 7th card.

In a highly anticipated Manchester vs Liverpool clash, Martin Stapleton (19-7) has been re-booked in a fight with Adam Ventre (8-4).

Stapleton, a Manchester fan favourite and former Royal Marine, called for his previously scheduled fight with Ventre to be re-booked after it fell through at late notice prior to CW107.

Stapleton said: “This fight’s a Manchester vs Liverpool Derby, so it’s going to be head-to-head.

“I’m not underestimating [Ventre], he can submit anybody from any position and he’s got a good right hand. But I’m 100% confident I’m going to finish him.”

Liverpool’s Adam Ventre, a long-time teammate of former champion Paddy Pimblett and UFC names Molly McCann and Chris Fishgold, returns to the cage after looking on impressive form with a win over Antanas Jazbutis at CW107.

Also scheduled for March 7th is a Welterweight matchup between surging prospect Adam Proctor (11-1) and the undefeated Madars Fleminas (7-0).

Proctor remains unbeaten in the Cage Warriors gloves with wins over Angelo Rubino and Olli Santalahti, and now has the coveted welterweight title in his sights. But a win over the extremely durable Fleminas is something no man has been able to accomplish yet.

Also in the Welterweight division is James Sheehan (1-2), who impressed in his Cage Warriors debut in a fight of the year contender with Ian Garry. He’ll face Kyran Sturrock, who makes his pro debut.

In the division above, former Middleweight Champion James Webb (6-2-1) takes on Mick “The Huyton Hammer” Stanton (6-3), with both men eyeing Nathias Frederick’s world title.

Having lost the belt to Frederick at CW111 last year, Webb is determined to get back on track and earn himself another title fight. And few can deny that Stanton – having picked up 3 consecutive wins over tough opposition in 2019 – will have earned his shot with a win over Webb.

Headlining the card is bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright, who makes the first defence of his belt against Austrian contender Manuel “Sugar” Bilić.

It all goes down at the BEC Arena Manchester, March 7th. Tickets are available HERE, starting at just £25.
