Cage Warriors Fighting Championship has added a rising bantamweight to its roster, as its announced that Cory Tait has signed a multi-fight contract with the U.K. based promotion. According to the official announcement, the deal ensures Tait’s next five fights will take place exclusively under the Cage Warriors banner.

The 7-2 British fighter was quoted saying in the announcement: “I’m excited to be signing with Cage Warriors,” said Tait. “Like myself, the promotion has come a long way in the last few years. I think this is the perfect time for me to show what I’m capable of and for Cage Warriors to have me.”

Tait has won three straight bouts and has scored notable wins over Spencer Hewitt, Nathan Beer and Dino Gambatesa since he turned pro in 2010. All of the experienced kickboxer’s victories have come via submission or stoppage.

No details regarding Tait’s promotional debut were included. The next Cage Warriors event is scheduled for September 14th and will take place in Cardiff, Wales.
