Canelo Alvarez handed Gennady Golovin his first defeat in professional boxing, by winning their highly anticipated rematch via majority decision.
Alvarez won the bout, and the WBA and WBC middleweight titles, via scores of 115-113, 115-113, 114-114.
In their first bout last year, the fight was declared a split draw, but many observers had Golovkin winning the contest.
Saturday’s fight was host by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
