Canelo Alvarez versus Gennady Golovkin 3 is set for September 17th. No official location or venue has been announced. Location/venue will be announced at a later date.

Both fighters announced the fight on their social medias on Tuesday. This will be the first time that both of these fighters step into the ring together since their second bout back in 2018, where Canelo Alvarez won via unanimous decision.

Canelo Alvarez is coming off a loss against Dimtry Bivol after moving up a weight class in attempt to secure all the belts at light heavyweight. Bivol won via unanimous decison. However, Alvarez was on a seven fight win streak prior tot that loss.

Gennady Golovkin is riding a four fight win streak into the trilogy bout against Canelo with his last bout being a ninth round TKO win against Ryota Murata last month.
