Not long after reports surfaced stating that “Ultimate Fighter” Season 16 coach Roy Nelson had several of his choices for assistant coaches turned down by the UFC, Cesar Gracie is reporting that several members of his squad will be instead.

The renowned trained posted on his Twitter account that Nate Diaz, Nick Diaz, Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields  “will be helping @roynelsonmma coach his team.””

Nelson reportedly had requested that pro wrestler Kurt Angle, Bellator fighter “King Mo” Lawal and reformed steroid dealer Victor Conte help coach the show, but was turned down.

The heavyweight fighter is coaching opposite of Shane Carwin. The filming of TUF 16, which will air on FX, is ongoing.
