Approximately one month after Bellator announced it’s signed Chael Sonnen to a contract, it’s being reported that the latter will face Tito Ortiz on January 21st.

The bout will headline Bellator 170, which will be hosted by the Forum in Los Angeles, California, according to a report from ESPN.com.

Sonnen (28-14-1) will be fighting for the first time since 2013, when he was stopped by Rashad Evans. The UFC veteran announced his retirement in 2014, after he tested positive for banned substances and was suspended.

Ortiz (18-12-1) is coming off a first round, submission loss to Bellator light-heavyweight champ Liam McGeary in September. The former UFC champ has scored wins over Stephan Bonnar and Alexander Shlemenko since he joined Bellator in 2014.
