Chan Sung Jung Takes Swing at UFC’s Latest Rankings
By FCF Staff
After taking out Frankie Edgar at UFC Busan earlier this month, Chan Sung Jung has moved up the UFC’s featherweight ranks. But, evidently, “The Korean Zombie” doesn’t believe he was voted into the right slot.
Jung rocked Edgar not long into their recent bout, and although the former lightweight champ attempted to rally, Jung finished him in the first round. Following the release of the UFC’s latest rankings, which saw Jung rise two spots to #4, the 32-year-old shared out the comments below.
One gained victory over an 11th ranker, and another hadn’t fought in 13 months. This ain’t a voting system for popularity I’m number 2. 🤦♂️ #ufc
Zabit Magomedsharipov is coming off a decision win over Calvin Kattar in November, and has gone 6-0 to date in the UFC. Brian Ortega hasn’t fought since last December, when he lost via TKO to now-former champ, Max Holloway.
