During the live broadcast of UFC 272, the UFC officially announced Charles Oliveria versus Justin Gaethje for UFC 274, which is scheduled for May 7th. Bout will be contested for the lightweight(155lbs)title. Location will be at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Charles Oliveira is looking for his second defense of the lightweight title after defeating Dustin Poirier last December at UFC 269 via third round submission(rear naked choke).

Justin Gaethje is going into this title bout after defeating Michael Chandler at UFC 268 last November in a fight of the year candidate via unanimous decision.
