Chris Leben to Fight Phil Baroni in Bare-Knuckle Bout
By FCF Staff
After retiring from mixed-martial-arts several years ago, Chris Leben is returning to the ring, as he’s going to fight fellow UFC vet Phil Baroni in a bare-knuckle bout.
Recently Leben announced that he’s going to fight Baroni under the World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation (WBKFF) banner, October 20th.
Leben had planned to return to fighting in 2016 for Bellator, but it was revealed the fighter had a serious heart condition, and he remained retired. Leben has informed MMA Junkie, however, that due to a new diet, training regiment and living sober, his physician has cleared him to fight again.
The WBKFF also told the outlet that Leben will need to pass medical tests, before he’s cleared to fight Baroni.
