Chris Lytle Wins Two Bonuses, Lorenzo Fertitta Says Dan Hardy Won’t Be Cut

By FCF Staff

Not only did Chris Lytle enter retirement by adding another notable win to his resume last night in Milwaukee, the accomplished vet collected not one but two more bonus awards for his efforts. Lytle and opponent Dan Hardy were awarded $65,000 each for earning the “Fight of the Night” award, and the retired fighter collected $65,000 more for “Submission of the Night,” due to his third round, fight cinching guillotine choke.

The 37 year-old Lytle has now been the recipient of ten UFC bonus awards during his decade plus career.

“Knockout of the Night” honors went to Donald Cerrone, who stopped Charles Oliveira in the first round.

Aside from collecting an extra $65,000, Hardy had little reason celebrate, as the British fighter has now lost four straight fights after winning four in a row to begin his UFC tenure. According to a tweet posted by UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, the veteran slugger will not be cut by the UFC.

Will not cut @danhardymma I like guys that WAR!!!

Last night’s UFC Live 5 event was hosted by Milwaukee’s Bradley Center.
