Chuck Liddell Outlines His Conditions to Consider Fighting Again

Chuck Liddell

There has been considerable speculation in recent months that Chuck Liddell is considering a comeback, and recently “The Iceman” outlined what it would take, for him to consider fighting again.

The 47 year-old Liddell hasn’t fought since 2010, when he was knocked out by Rich Franklin at UFC 115. Now that Liddell is no longer working for the promotion, and due to a back-and-forth he recently had with Tito Ortiz, there’s been talk that the former UFC champ could be planning a comeback.

Liddell appeared on the latest “MMA Hour” last week, and during the interview, the feared striker said this (quote via MMA Fighting):

“I have had people that I was doing some promotion stuff with go, ‘You know, we had an idea. We should have, like, a legends fight,’” Liddell said. “It’s always that. That conversation always comes up when we’re talking about doing some promotion for a company, or helping them promote their league. The conversation always leads to, ‘Have you ever thought about doing a legends fight?’ Like, ‘We have this new idea, we’re thinking about a legends fight.’ New idea, yeah, that’s brand new. No, it always comes up.

“But it’s just, in the right situation, if they offered enough money, and my body would hold up to getting in shape, I’m not saying I’d say no.”

Liddell also relayed in the interview that he’s never lost the “itch” to fight.
