Conor McGregor Believes Khabib Nurmagomedov Will “Probably Beat” Tony Ferguson

Tony Ferguson is expected to challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov next, and Conor McGregor believes the latter will walk away from the fight still holding the UFC’s lightweight title.
Since Ferguson has won 12 straight fights, and has won the interim belt during that time, “El Cucuy” is next in line for a title shot. At a recent sponsor’s event in Ukraine, McGregor was asked to comment on the expected bout, and the former champ said this (quote via MMA Junkie):
“It will be an interesting one. I think Khabib would probably beat him,” McGregor said. “Again, you’ve got to see what the circumstances are. Anyone can win on any given day. Tony is a formidable fighter also, you know. He’s very, very tough. He does go down, he does get dropped, his guard has been passed, he’s been mounted by a lesser fighter, so I would favor Khabib in that bout.”
McGregor faced Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 last October and was submitted by the renowned grappler in round four.
