Report: Conor McGregor Claims he “Would Kill” Floyd Mayweather in Less Than 30 Seconds
By FCF Staff
Fans are used to hearing Conor McGregor make bold claims about how quickly he could defeat top MMA fighters, but now the featherweight has taken aim at boxing star, Floyd Mayweather.
McGregor was recently interviewed by Esquire magazine, and while discussing his reputation as a top notch striker, the Irish fighter stated:
“I don’t look at a man who’s expert in one area as a specialist,” said McGregor. “I look at him as a rookie in ten other areas. If you can box, what happens if I grab hold of your legs? If you put me face-to-face with Floyd Mayweather—pound-for-pound boxing’s best—if I fought Floyd, I would kill him in less than thirty seconds. It would take me less than thirty seconds to wrap around him like a boa constrictor and strangle him.”
The 26 year-old is scheduled to fight champion Jose Aldo on July 11th at UFC 189.
Mayweather, on the other hand, will battle Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd.
