Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor have talked about fighting in the past, and now the latter is claiming he’s set to face the boxing legend next.

Recently McGregor posted a series of tweets, in which he shared what he said are text messages he had with Dana White this past March, regarding his next bout. In the messages, McGregor was calling on White to book him for his next bout, and he expressed an interest in fighting Diego Sanchez or Justin Gaethje.

McGregor then proceeded to tweet out these statements.

Anyway all water under the bridge who gives a fook. I’m boxing Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East.

It will be a true honour to have faced two of the greatest boxers of the modern era, afraid of a fight.

White, meanwhile, recently spoke with BT Sport. While doing so, he claimed he could be making an announcement soon, regarding his promotional involvement in boxing.

After McGregor was stopped by undefeated boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017, White said he planned to start promoting boxing matches. While White has said at various points that he still intended to get into the boxing business, via Zuffa Boxing, it has yet to happen.
