Conor McGregor Comments on Frankie Edgar’s KO Loss
By FCF Staff
Not far out from UFC 222, Conor McGregor claimed he had offered to fight Frankie Edgar at the event, and following the latter’s loss, the Irish star had a message for him.
Edgar took on Brian Ortega at last night’s event, and was knocked out by the rising featherweight in the opening round. Ortega agreed to step in on short notice, after featherweight champ Max Holloway, was forced out due to injury.
After Edgar’s defeat, which marked the first time in his career that he was stopped, McGregor tweeted out this:
Frankie's career deserved for that to be against me tonight.
Respect Frankie.
Love and respect always!
