Recently, Conor McGregor reported he had been asked to coach the next season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, and now the UFC’s announced he will coach opposite of Michael Chandler.

On Saturday, UFC President Dana White announced that McGregor and Chandler will coach TUF 31. White also confirmed that the coaches will fight after the season concludes; however, no date for the bout is set.

TUF 31 will premiere on ESPN/ESPN+ , May 30th.

McGregor (22-6) hasn’t competed since July, 2021, when he broke his leg in his third fight with Dustin Poirier. The controversial star has recorded just one win since 2016.

Chandler (23-8) is also coming off a loss to Poirier, as he was submitted by the latter in November. Prior to that, in May, 2022, Chandler knocked out Tony Ferguson.
