The UFC hasn’t announced Conor McGregor’s next bout yet, but the star’s reporting he’s had a “good conversation” with Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta, following his well documented removal from UFC 200.

After McGregor refused to attend all the promotional obligations the promotion had planned for the July 9th card, the featherweight champ’s welterweight rematch with Nate Diaz was cancelled. Since then there”s been considerable speculation as to what will come next for McGregor, but nothing has been announced.

Recently it was reported that McGregor met with UFC President White and UFC CEO Fertitta on Wednesday night. In a follow-up interview with ESPN’s Kenny Mayne, McGregor had this to say about the meeting (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“Good conversation like it always is,” McGregor said “We have a good relationship. It is what it is. It happens. This is the fight game. Sometimes emotions get into it. But it’s important to recognize that emotions have no place in business. That’s essentially what it was last night. We just set it aside. There’s no place for emotions in this. We are doing beautiful things. So let’s continue. Let’s fix it and let’s continue.”

McGregor also noted that the parties are somewhere in the “middle”, in a “good place”, when asked to describe how close the parties are to reaching the goal line.
