Conor McGregor Reveals Parties Are “Close” to Signing Star’s Next Bout
By FCF Staff
The expectation is that Conor McGregor is going to fight UFC lightweight champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov next. Now the Irish star’s reporting his highly anticipated return to the Octagon is “close” to being signed.
TMZ Sports spoke with McGregor recently in New York City, and the decorated fighter reported that his next fight isn’t official, but that it’s nearly finalized. In addition, McGregor also said that while he’d like to fight in New York, he believes his next bout will take place in Las Vegas.
McGregor hasn’t fought under the UFC banner now since November, 2016, when he stopped Eddie Alvarez to claim the lightweight title. This past March, McGregor was stripped of the 155 title, and Nurmagomedov won it by defeating Al Iaquinta at UFC 223.
