Conor McGregor’s Coach Says Fans “Are in For a Real Treat” in Star’s Upcoming Bout
By FCF Staff
Ahead of Conor McGregor’s pivotal bout with Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, the star’s head coach is reporting the fighter has never looked better.
McGregor, who hasn’t won a bout now since 2016, is set to face “Cowboy” on January 18th. Recently the former featherweight and lightweight champ’s coach, John Kavanagh, tweeted out this:
Jan 1st, last heavy spar today before going to Vegas. Can honestly say this is the best i’ve seen him and i wasn’t sure that was possible to do 6 months ago. You guys are in for a real treat, i’m just glad to have a good seat! #UFC246

McGregor (21-4) will be fighting for the first time since October, 2018, when he was submitted by champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Cerrone (36-13) is coming off a first round, stoppage loss to Justin Gaethje this past September.
