Cris “Cyborg” Comments on USADA Flag, Reports She’s Undergoing “Medical Treatment”
By FCF Staff
Following the news that Cris “Cyborg” Justino has been notified of a potential anti-doping violation, the Brazilian fighter has commented on the situation.
The UFC veteran and Invicta FC featherweight champ has been flagged by USADA, following an out-of-competition test earlier this month. Justino recently told MMA Fighting that the flag is for “nothing bad”, and that she is undergoing “medical treatment” following her cut to 140 pounds in September. “Cyborg” has reported in recent days that she is still recovering from the bout, which saw her stop Lina Lansberg.
Ray Elbe, Justino’s partner, told the Underground that “Cyborg” has not been flagged for a steroid, and added that the fighter has been taking a medical prescription.
The substance that Justino has been flagged for has not been publicly disclosed.
