The California State Athletic Commission has released the attendance figures for Strikeforce’s recent “Heavyweight Grand Prix Finale” at San Jose’s HP Pavilion, which saw Daniel Cormier win the competition by handing Josh Barnett a unanimous decision loss.

According to the CSAC figures, 5,413 people attended the May 19th card; however, only 2,804 of those tickets were sold.  This would indicate that 2, 609 people in attendance received complimentary tickets.

The gross gate for the event was reportedly $226,005.

Strikeforce’s previous card in San Jose, which featured Nick Diaz versus Evangelista  “Cyborg” Santos in the main event, drew over 9,000 fans.  The card took place on January 29th, 2011.

The UFC on FUEL TV 4 card is scheduled to take place July 11th at the HP Pavilion.
