It may have been the only knockout on the card, but it was a memorable one nonetheless, and Cung Le earned “Knockout of the Night” for his stoppage win over Rich Franklin today in China.

Le sent Franklin crashing to the mat, face first, in the first round of their UFC on FUEL TV 6 headliner today with a perfectly timed right hook.  The feared striker was also awarded $40,000.

“Fight of the Night”, and an extra $4,000 each, went to Mac Danzig and Takanori Gomi for their exciting lightweight bout. Gomi ended up winning the fight by split decision.

And “Submission of the Night” went to Thiago Silva, who recovered from being dropped by Stanislav Nedkov and went on to tap out the light-heavyweight with a arm-triangle-choke.

Today’s event was hosted by the Cotai Arena in the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel.
