Fight week is finally here. With just days to go until Cage Warriors return to London for CW106: Night of Champions – their biggest card of all time – here’s the fights you should be looking out for and how to watch around the world.

In the main event, undefeated welterweight champion Ross ‘The Hitman’ Houston will fight to unify his title against interim champion and UFC vet Nicolas Dalby.

Scotland’s Houston offered a glimpse into his training in the run up to the event, which revealed long swims in the icy waters of Loch Ness and runs in the desolate highlands made up part of his gruelling championship fight camp. On the other side of Europe, former champion Dalby has been grinding away in his home town of Copenhagen to ensure his dream can be realised on June 29th. Having had a shot in the UFC in 2015 but falling short of a successful run due to admitted fights with his mental health, Dalby is back with a vengeance – new, improved and with full belief that this is his time.

In the lightweight division, the vacant title formerly held by Conor McGregor is on the line when dangerous finishers Jai Herbert and Jack Grant meet in what’s widely regarded as the most exciting fight in European MMA right now. Both men have surged through the ranks over the last few years with numerous highlight real knockouts, boasting a collective 21 finishes within the distance since their debuts.

The Eventim Apollo is sure to be on it’s feet when London’s own middleweight champion James Webb defends his title in his backyard against formidable challenger Nathias Frederick, who is riding a seven-fight win streak.

The featherweight title is also on the line when reigning champion Dean Trueman steps up for the toughest test of his career to date, taking on Danish UFC veteran Mads Burnell.

Another stellar highlight of ‘Night of Champions’ – and the first fight on the main card – is number one contender Sam Creasey vs top French prospect Samir Faiddine for the vacant flyweight belt. Creasey has battled his way to a title shot before, but fell short in one of the most exciting fights of the night at CW92. Since then, he’s bounced back with 2 impressive wins over Coner Hignett and Andy Young, taking his record to 11-2.

The sixth title fight takes the top spot on CW106’s pro preliminary card – a European showdown for the light heavyweight title formerly held by MMA legend Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping. Norwegian national hero Marthin Hamlet – a 7 time national wrestling champion with 15 World Cup medals to his name – will take on young Londoner Modestas Bukauskas. Fans are advised to not miss a moment of the earlier pro prelims, which feature top names Alex Lohoré, Aaron Khalid and more.

“This is without a doubt the biggest card we’ve ever put together,” says Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan.

“This night has been a long time coming, and now we’re seeing perfect match ups come together. This card also sets the stage for what will happen on the European MMA scene for the rest of the year and in the future – champions could start amazing title reigns with us, or the UFC could come calling which is what happened for a tonne of guys after the last Night of Champions card: Bisping, Hardy, Silva and others.

CW106: Night of Champions will take place at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London this Saturday night, June 29th. Doors open at 3PM.
