Dan Henderson Responds to “Jacare” Souza Fight Proposal
By FCF Staff
Recently one of Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza’s coaches relayed that he would like to see the rising middleweight battle Dan Henderson, and the legendary fighter has responded to the idea.
Souza’s coach, Josuel Distak, recently said that the fighter could explore fighting at 205, while he waits to see who the winner is between middleweight champ Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort. The two are expected to fight in February.
While speaking to Sherdog.com, Distake raised the prospect of a fight between Souza and Henderson, and the latter has tweeted the following:
I would be more then happy to give Jacare what he wants. Except I would do it at MW and Jan 3rd. (cont) http://t.co/9RFrGSfyLV

The 44 year-old Henderson hasn’t fought since May, when he was choked out by light-heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier. Prior to that the decorated fighter stopped “Shogun” Rua in March.
Souza, meanwhile, is recovering from elbow surgery, but is expected to be ready to fight in January.
