Dana White had reported that the UFC would still hold its next three events as scheduled, despite the ongoing, coronavirus epidemic. But, on Monday the UFC President announced that the promotion is postponing it’s next three cards after all.

Since White first relayed the UFC’s plan to continue holding cards, travel from several European nations has been enacted, and more jurisdictions have temporarily banned large public gatherings. The Nevada Commission has also put on hold licensing events.

While talking to ESPN on Monday, White confirmed that the March 21st, March 28th and April 11th UFC cards have been postponed. White insisted, however, that the April 18th bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will still take place. Even if it requires that the bout is held outside the U.S.

Earlier on Monday, an email that White sent UFC employees, announcing the postponement of the next three cards was shared out.

Here’s some of what it said:

“As you’ve heard me say, I’ve been in the fight game for 20 years, and this is what we do — we find a way to keep our events going no matter what,” White wrote in the email, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN. “But this is different. The whole world is being affected right now, and nothing is more important than the health and safety of you and your families.”
