In recent weeks, Conor McGregor has made it clear he’s not happy about the fact his next bout has yet to be booked. More recently, however, UFC President Dana White reported talks are underway again regarding the controversial star’s next fight.

McGregor hasn’t competed now since July, 2021, when he broke his leg during a rubber match with Dustin Poirier. At a recent boxing event in Saudi Arabia, the former champ expressed deep frustration about the fact his next fight hasn’t materialized.

But, during a recent Instagram session, White reportedly confirmed he spoke with McGregor recently and is hopeful the fighter’s next bout will be signed soon (quotes via MMA Fighting).

“I talked to Conor today,” White said. “I’m in Abu Dhabi right now, Conor’s in Dubai. We talked tonight. He and I will get something figured out soon. We’re talking.”

The 35-year-old McGregor (22-6) was expected to fight fellow TUF coach, Michael Chandler this year. But, due to various factors, including delays in re-enrolling in USADA’s testing pool, the fight didn’t happen.
