Dana White Discusses Jorge Masvidal’s Next Bout, Call For Title Shot or Fight With Conor McGregor

Following Jorge Masvidal’s emphatic, record fast knockout of Ben Askren at UFC 239, “Gamebred” has been calling for a title shot or a bout with Conor McGregor. But, as it stands right now, it seems pretty clear the rugged vet won’t be getting either of those fights.
Prior to Colby Covington’s decisive win over Robbbie Lawler last weekend, UFC President Dana White said that if “Chaos” won the bout, he would be next for welterweight champ, Kamaru Usman. White has also shot down the idea of McGregor fighting Masvidal, since according to White, the latter’s too big.
While talking to the media earlier this week, White was asked about Masvidal’s ultimatum, and he said this (quote via MMA Junkie):
“You can’t make ultimatums,” White said. “Listen, we’re going to offer him a fight and if he accepts the fight he does, and if he doesn’t, he doesn’t.”
White was also asked about the possibility of a bout between Leon Edwards and Masvidal. Edwards has been pushing for that match-up, ever since the two had backstage scuffle this past March.
“That’s definitely a good fight to make,” White said. “The question is: Where do you do that fight and how much security are we going to have?”
Edwards, meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Rafael dos Anjos at UFC San Antonio last month.
