The UFC’s upcoming schedule is packed with pivotal fights, and the promotion’s president Dana White has confirmed that Anderson Silva, Conor McGregor and Cub Swanson could all lock up title shots in their next bouts.

White appeared on FOX Sports following the UFC’s press conference yesterday, in which the promotion unveiled its schedule for 2015. While discussing the big bouts which will unfold in the coming weeks, White relayed that both Anderson Silva and Conor McGregor could receive title shots, provided they defeat Nick Diaz and Dennis Siver respectively.

The middleweight Silva is set to face Diaz on January 31st, and McGregor will battle the featherweight veteran Siver on January 18th.

Middleweight champion Chris Weidman will fight Vitor Belfort on February 28th, while featherweight champ Jose Aldo is coming off a unanimous decision win over Chad Mendes last month.

Then White was asked about the title shot prospects of featherweights Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson, who will fight this coming Saturday in Austin, Texas. White proceeded to say that “yes, if Cub Swanson wins this fight we did tell him we would give him a title shot.”
