Dana White Fires Back at Critics of Henry Cejudo – Jose Aldo Booking

Jose Aldo

By FCF Staff

Since Jose Aldo lost his bantamweight debut to Marlon Moraes in December, not everyone is happy with the UFC’s decision to hand the star a title fight with champion, Henry Cejudo. But, recently UFC President Dana White fired back at critics of the match-up, and told them not to watch.

Aldo made his bantamweight debut against Moraes at UFC 245, and many people scored the fight for the featherweight champ. Two judges, however, saw it differently, and Moraes was awarded the split decision win.

Cejudo, however, started campaigning for a fight with the legendary featherweight and the two are set to fight on May 9th, at UFC 250. Recently TMZ Sports caught up with White, and while discussing the blowback Cejudo – Aldo has received from some, the UFC President said this (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“I think [Jose Aldo] won,” White said. “I think the judges got it wrong and he won the fight. When you’ve done what Cejudo has done, he agrees.

“He texted me right after the fights and said Aldo won that fight. He wants to fight Aldo. He wants to fight the legend.”

“Then don’t watch it!” White said, while referring to the fight’s critics. “People are full of sh*t. People are full of sh*t, it’s going to be an incredible fight. Aldo absolutely deserves this. Cejudo wants it.

“The champ-champ, the guy who won belts in two divisions wants to fight Aldo. So what does that mean? And Cejudo isn’t a guy running around looking for easy fights.”

UFC 250 will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The bout will mark the first time Cejudo has fought since he stopped Moraes last June to win the vacant 135 belt.
