Dana White Reports Max Holloway’s “Doing Well”
By FCF Staff
It’s not known yet when Max Holloway will return to the Octagon, but recently Dana White reported that the UFC’s featherweight champ is doing much better.
Holloway was forced out of a bout with Brian Ortega earlier this month, at UFC 226, due to experiencing concussion like symptoms. In advance of tonight’s UFC on FOX 30 card in Calgary, White was asked for an update on Holloway, and he reported this (quote via MMA Junkie):
“He’s good,” White said. “He’s doing well. They gave him a time frame. I’d actually like to wait a little longer on his time frame and make sure that he’s 100 percent. I don’t know yet (what the time frame is).”
“There was no stroke. It either had to do with concussion – either a concussion, or they believe it happened to him because he was cutting weight at that time. We still don’t know for sure. But we know he’s doing OK, he’s healthy, and he’s doing a lot better.”
Holloway hasn’t competed now since December, when he stopped former champ Jose Aldo for a second time.
