It’s still not known when or who Conor McGregor will fight next, but Dana White says the star is eager to return to the cage and to make another championship run.

McGregor is still waiting to see if he’s suspended by the Nevada Commission, due to the post-fight brawl that took place after his submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. Following his defeat at the October 6th card, McGregor called for a rematch with the lightweight champ, but he also said he’d face who’s next in line.

Recently White held a social media Q&A, and while discussing McGregor’s future, the UFC President said this (quotes via MMA Junkie):

“It’s one of the main things I love about Conor McGregor: The belt means a lot to him and being a world champion means everything to him,” White said. “I love it. … 100 percent (it still means everything to him). 100 percent.”

“When a guy starts to make crazy money, life-changing money, and he’s in one of those positions where he’s not just making it from the fights – he’s making it in other businesses that he has going on right now – you find out what people are all about, how passionate they are about what they do, when the money comes,” White added. “Conor and I still communicate regularly and he’s very fired up about coming back and becoming a world champion again.”

White also reported that McGregor is willing to fight “anybody” if a rematch with Nurmagomedov does not materialize.
