Dana White Says Frank Mir and Cain Velazquez “Will Happen”
Henderson Willing to Fight dos Santos

In the wake of Alitsair Overeem’s failed drug test and no news as to what the Ultimate Fighting Championship plans to do if indeed he can’t fight Junior dos Santos on May 26th, Dana White has ruled out one possible replacement.
Although there has been considerable speculation that former champion Frank Mir might be tapped to face dos Santos, the promotion’s president has tweeted that he will still fight Cain Velasquez as scheduled at UFC 146.
A post on White’s twitter account stated: “Mir vs. Cain will happen”
Mir is riding a three fight win streak which includes wins over Mirko Filipovic, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Roy Nelson.
Despite not being a heavyweight, Dan Henderson has expressed interest in facing dos Santos. When Henderson was asked if he would battle dos Santos via his Twitter account, the legendary fighter said “for sure.”
The Nevada State Athletic Commission recently announced that Overeem has allegedly tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone, and as a result, the decorated fighter is currently not licensed for the May 26th bout.
In order to receive a license, Overeem will need to have a second sample tested and cleared.
